omg, you might just pee your pants when you see kitlers (thank you, Lynn)

In the spirit of kale-eating, my future-dietician, cooking former-roommate Augusta was wearing this t-shirt when we most recently Skyped. Have you seen them? Apparently, there's all sorts of courtroom drama because Chick-Fil-A got all riled up about "Eat More Kale," saying it sounds too similar to "Eat More Chicken." If you can, buy a t-shirt to support the cause. (The nutrients cause, of course.)

how did I get a degree in journalism without ever having heard of the Proust Questionnaire?

louie louie

One of my friends here in NYC is a woman named Barbara. She's a sassy writer and graduate professor at The New School who I met through a friend. The first time we visited was when we met to go participate in the Occupy Wall Street march on Times Square back in October. Now we visit several times a week, since our apartments are a mere 10-minute walk apart. We were hanging out on Sunday night in her living room with her cats Newman and Jackson, and she had just Saturday night seen the movie London Boulevard with Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell. She was playing me all this music from the era of the movie and was so surprised that I wasn't familiar with "Louie Louie." She called it "the ultimate college song."

Do you know it?

puppy cam

In my freshman year of college, I lived in the dorms, which was great for gossip but less convenient for studying. I had a floor full of super fun girls who were always discovering crazy fun things on the inter-webs. One of these was the puppy cam, which we visited several times a day for about a week. Guess what? It's back.

P.S. more puppies here.
